Kalshi is a regulated US exchange for event contracts, traded through an account with the venue. Predict Bay™ is an on-chain venue on Sui for short-duration price markets, where a strike is set at the open, you pick above or below, and the round resolves against an on-chain price feed.
They overlap on one thing — the binary contract itself — and diverge on almost everything else. This page is about where the overlap is real and where calling one an “alternative” to the other would be misleading.

Two differences are large enough that they should be settled before any feature comparison.
Standing. Kalshi is a regulated exchange. Predict Bay is not an exchange in that sense and makes no regulatory claim anywhere on this site. If regulatory standing is what you are shopping for, that decision is already made and nothing below changes it.
Maturity. Predict Bay is not live with real money. The Sui path targets a testnet deployment and is switched off for real funds; Polygon real-money trading is paused. Practice mode is what you can use today.
Both venues trade binary contracts: a position that pays a fixed amount if the outcome lands on one side of a line, and nothing otherwise. If what you want is a crypto price question with a short horizon and a defined maximum loss, that is the shape Predict Bay is built around, and it settles without an adjudication step because the underlying already has a continuously published price.

The concrete difference is where the position lives. On Sui, a position is an object you own rather than a row in a ledger someone else maintains — no contract can reassign it, and the mint, the hold and the redemption are all readable on-chain by anyone. That is worth stating precisely rather than expansively: it does not mean a protocol has no administrative controls, and a redemption still touches shared protocol state that may carry a pause capability.
The second concrete difference is settlement latency, which is what makes the short round possible at all. Sui finalises in well under a second; the Sui prediction market page works through why that is the constraint the whole product design follows from.
